Jetter Don't Take Me Alive Overdrive Pedal Demo/Review
A demo of the Jetter Don't Take Me Alive pedal! An awesome sounding simple OD that really works with everything I throw at it. I used a PRS S2 Vela w/ Dimarzio PAF Master in the bridge, A strymon flint for verb, and my Fender Pro JR III. Mic'd with a Cascade Fat Head BE. Super simple!

  • @MintStiles
    @MintStiles 2 года назад

    Both sides are good and you can get alot of interesting sounds. Yes the red side so much more trebly... Works well with a Les Paul. The shared EQ is the headache. The best strength about this pedal is how dynamic it reacts to your playing. Too many drives out there will give you an overly compressed tone for the sake of achieving a specific sound.

    Thumbs down. Btw, you have a great approach to reviews. It’s just that I watched scads of Z-Drive reviews and this pedal just doesn’t sound good. Way better options out there that are more rich and fluid sounding. The pedal’s loud but lifeless and has no note bloom. I wanted to like it...

    One thing to keep in mind when doing the mod - when these were built, the quality was wildly different. Zach has a super clean pedal in the video. My 1995 TS-9 was a mess - lots and lots of excess solder all over the board and worse, the chip's legs were bent in all sorts of angles ... which I couldn't tell until I removed what felt like a gallon of solder. So word to the wise - don't start yanking on the chip until you make sure the legs are straight. Take your time and clean the board. (P.S. Thanks for the great video!)

When a 100 string light is only half lit, pull one of the bulbs on the non-working 50 strand, push in the lite keeper pro (as if it were a bulb) click it a few times and watch the rest of your lights light up, replace the bulb and you have a working set of lights.
